State Staffs Rally For Timely Promulgation Of New Constitution

April 21, 2010: on the call of Nepal Government’s Employees' Association, hundreds of state employees have marched in Kathmandu and at some district headquarters demanding the promulgation of a new constitution on May 28, 2010
In addition to the demand for promulgating a new constitution on time, the state employees have demanded the government come up with a new pay scale, introduce scientific provisions for transfers of state staffs and ensure their security at work places; the state employees’ association has also warned the government of nationwide indefinite shutdown if the constitution is not promulgated on time and other demands not met by the government according to the nepalnews.com.
