Finally MPRs Come To Nepalis

December 27, 2010: Finally, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started issuing machine-readable passports (MRPs) on Sunday December 26, 2010 but you have to wait six weeks after you apply for MRP. The Ministry issues two categories of MRPs. One category is of diplomatic and another is of general category. Red and blue MRPs are of the diplomatic category while green and black MPRs are for the general public category.

Red MRPs are for the ministers and diplomats while blue MRPs are for the state employees in general. While green MRPs are for general public whereas black MRPs are the travel documents according to ‘The Rising Nepal’ of December 27, 2010.

On Sunday, December 26, 2010, Deputy Prime Minister Sujata Koirala has presented all four color MRPs to officiating Prime Minister Madhav Nepal at one function. So, Madhav Nepal can keep the red MRP for his foreign trips at the cost of the nation; the rest of the MRPs he can sell to the maxim bidders that will add some money to his already sack full of banknotes he has amassed during his 13-monht reign of the rule of Madhav Nepal breaking the rule of law.
