Kathmandu: April 12, 2016, so far, everybody has been cheating Nepalese. Recently, the people working at the highest elected positions have started off cheating the Nepalese.
Prime Minister KP Oli and Energy Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi have been boasting that the power outage has been reduced, and it would be minimize within a year, and after two years power outage would be totally done away but the consumers have been receiving the power at the low voltage not even 120 Volts causing tremendous strain to the household equipment such as fridge, micro-ovens, washing machines, water pumps and so on not to mention TVs and other electronic gadgets.
Probably, the power had been so outstretched to make the less hours of power outage that its voltage had been drastically reduced causing unusable. Low voltage power supply is worse than no supply. So, Prime Minister Oli or Energy Minister Rayamajhi needed to immediately correct a menace to the power supply. Those holding high elected offices needed not cheat the people. If they could not reduce the power outage say so but don’t cheat the people.
The media had reported that Prime Minister Oli went to the hospital where the Speaker had been undergoing treatment to see how she was doing and at the same time got her signature on the recommendation made by the Judicial Council for the lady justice to the position of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal. Today, the media said that the Speaker denied putting her signature on the document. Who was correct Prime Minister or the Speaker?
This time, who is responsible for the misinformation, the media, the Prime Minister or the Speaker? If such unethical things have to happen repeatedly then the Nepalese would not have any faith in the media, and the elected persons that had already managed to earn the title of being dishonest.
