NC And CPN-UML Firing Cadres

December 5, 2013: NC and CPN-UML have started off taking actions against the cadres and candidates that had gone against the party line during the elections to a new CA.
They have fired the cadres that had filed their independent candidacies against the official candidates of their parties. Some of the cadres of both the parties had filed independent candidacies after they failed to secure the party nominations.
Other cadres of both the political parties have threatened the leaders of the respective political party that if the party leadership did not take actions against the rebel candidates and cadres, they would quit the parties en mass.
