Members of Parliament Under Police Custody

April 26, 2011: A single bench of Justice Madhav Prasad Pokharel of the Kathmandu District Court has ordered to keep lawmakers Gayatri Shah and Bishwonath Prasad Yadav of Nepali Janata Dal and Madeshi Janaadhikar Forum-Nepal respectively for additional seven days under the police custody for investigation into the misuse of the passports.

They have been implicated in misusing their special passports. According to the media reports, some individuals have used their special passports.

Police have arrested them on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 on the charge of abusing their special passports and presented them at the Kathmandu District Court.
