Resolve Your Problems Yourselves Told State-owned Corporations

October 1, 2013: according to the news posted on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’, speaking at the 26th anniversary of the Industrial District Management Limited in Kathmandu yesterday, Finance Minister also holding the portfolio of the Minister for Industry Shankar Prasad Koirala said, “I am not happy with your tripartite conflict. If you cannot mange your institution properly, it is your weakness. And the ministry has no interest to interfere in your business.”
The minister revealed that the government was working to bring out an Industrial Development Act through ordinance and it would help boost the confidence of the industrialists.
Secretary to the Ministry of Industry Krishna Gyawali has said that the government has already decided to establish Industrial Management Offices in four cantonment sites used by the former People’s Liberation Army (PLA) and they would come into Ministry’s ownership shortly.
Vice-chairman of the Federation of Nepal Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Pradeep Jung Pandey said that the creation of employment was not possible without industrial revolution and stressed the need for reducing the gulf between import and export.
