June 25, 2013: speaking at an event held in Kathmandu yesterday to release a book titled “Smiritika Kuineta” written by Hiramani Dukhi, Chairman of CPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidhya has said that his party has not made decision on boycotting the elections to the Constituent Assembly; however, he made it clear that his party would not participate in the elections in the current state of political affairs, according to the news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’

Chairman Vaidhya said that his party could participate in the elections following a consensus on holding elections built through dialogue among the political parties suspending all election processes including the election schedule.

He also said that all parties should be involved in the process of promulgating a new constitution otherwise it would not a people’s constitution even though elections were held and a new constitution was promulgated. He said that the election would not be held on November 19 in the current political situation in Nepal.
