Corrupt Minister Of Corrupt Government Sees Everybody Corrupt

Issue 10, March 07, 2010

BY KTM Metro Reporter

February 28, 2010: speaking at the Reporters’ club in Kathmandu on February 27, 2010, Deputy Prime Minster holding the portfolio of foreign affairs Sujata Koirala has said that she has asked the Chief Secretary to the Council of Minister to take the proposal for printing Machine Readable Passports (MRP) twice but he has not taken it; so, she is for firing him immediately. However, other news agencies have reported that the Council of Ministers has rejected her proposal for printing MRPs in India. She has claimed that nobody would be able to produce MRPs by the end of March 2010 if the proposal for printing MRPs in India is rejected.

Madam Sujata Koirala has also been mad at the Legislative Public Account Committee (PAC) that has directed her to follow the regular finance management rules and regulations for printing MRPs and do it transparently calling bids for it again as she has cancelled all previous bids. She has questioned what rights the PAC has to instruct the government to do things; the government has executive power and will do whatever it wants to do. She has also said that the PAC is made up of a bunch of corrupt people.
