Completing Peace Process And Constitution: Our Priority Says Koirala

June 6, 2011: at the meeting held at the residence of Koirala, President of NC Sushil Koirala has told Chairman of UCPN-Maoist that the priority of his party is completing the peace process and the constitution writing not immediately changing the current government but they have agreed on a national consensus government, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

At the same time, Chairman of the breakaway MRPF-Republic Jayaprakash Gupta has threatened the NC with the UDMF alienating from it if it abandons the policy on changing the current government in other words the MPRF-Republic recently broken away from its mother party MPRF-Nepal wants the resignation of the current Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal.

Chairman of MPRF-Nepal Upendra Yadav currently holding the portfolio of Minister for Foreign Affairs has said that his party has been near to the UCPN-Maoist because only this party has addressed the issues of the Madheshi people; the NC is against the federalism and Madhav Nepal and KP Oli of the CPN-UML have enjoyed keeping silent on this issue.

As the part of completing the peace process, the UCPN-Maoist has decided ending the double security of its leaders abandoning the security provided by the members of the People’s Liberation Army. Following the decision of his party, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has bid emotional farewell to the 50 PLA members that have provided him with security from his residence yesterday.
