Printing Ballot Papers At JEMC

Issue 39, September 29, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

September 28, 2013: Janak Education Materials Center (JEMC) is set to print the ballot papers for the upcoming Constituent Assembly elections. The JEMC is the state-owned printing press that has printed ballot papers for the previous elections, too, according to the news posted on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’

General Manager of JEMC Anil Jha has said that the JEMC has made everything ready for printing ballot papers; only orders need to come from the Election Commission (EC). "Once we get the order from the EC, we will start printing the ballot papers," Jha said

The EC had already made available 485 metric tons of paper to the JEMC for printing the ballot papers. The JEMC has four weeks to print the ballot papers. However, the EC has yet to provide the JEMC with the design of the ballot papers to be printed.
