Hearing On Two Cases Against Formation Of Government Under Chief Justice

March 8, 2013; hearing on the case against the formation of a new government under the Chief Justice filed by Bharat Jangam at the Supreme Court of Nepal, the Special Bench of the justices such as Kalyan Shrestha, Girish Chandra Lal, and Sushila Karki has agreed on hearing on this case on March 14, 2013 along with another similar case filed by Advocate Om Prakash Aryal, according to the ‘gorkhapatra’ news of today.

Lawyers representing both the petitioners and the defendants have had requested the Special Bench to hold hearing on both the cases on the same day.

Leaders have to wait for forming a new government under the Chief Justice until the ruling of the Supreme Court on the cases against forming such a government.

Hearing on the contempt of court filed against the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, the single bench of Justice Girish Chandra Lal has quashed the case stating the Chief Justice has committed to respect the judiciary and judicial decisions in his statement, according to the ‘gorkhapatra’ news of March 6, 2013.
