Radio Reporter Disappeared In Pyuthan

July 1, 2010: radio reporter Keshav Bohara working for Radio Mandavi has disappeared in Pyuthan, Far Western Region of Nepal. It is widely believed that he is abducted. So, on Thursday, July 1, 2010, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has begun an inquiry into the whereabouts of radio reporter Keshav Bohara. NHRC has sent its staffs based at the regional office in Nepalgunj to Pyuthan to hold inquiry about the disappearance of the radio reporter. NHRC has requested the government offices and other concerned offices in Pyuthan to coordinate and cooperate with the field staffs of NHRC on finding the radio reporter.
At the same time, President of Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) Dharmendra Jha has urged the government to act immediately to find out the whereabouts of the radio reporter, and also set up its team to conduct an inquiry about the disappearance and whereabouts of radio reporter Keshav Bohara
