Issue 33, August 18, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

August 11, 2013: speaking at the training of cadres held by the Bhaktapur Chapter of the UCPN-Maoist yesterday, Chairman Prachanda said that the election date would not be changed at any cost; Madheshi People’s Rights Forum-Nepal, and Federal Social Party would soon agree on participating in the elections, according to the news in ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has said that only Vaidhyaji has been facing dilemma of participating in the elections; cadres will protest if Vaidhyaji opts to participate; if not, the CA will be in jeopardy he himself had made the agenda of it at the time of the people’s war.

Chairman Prachanda also said that he held not a grudge against Vaidhyaji but he had worked with him for about 30 years.

At the informal meeting of the central working committee (CWC) of his party held at his Maharajgunj residence yesterday, Chairman of NC Sushil Koirala has reiterated once again that the elections will be held as scheduled; the four-party political mechanism will not talk with the opposition about the election date, according to nepalnews.com.

Vaidhyaji has said that he has received the letter from the government to talk about the elections without any condition; so the 33-party front might soon held talks with the government once he had categorically rejected to talk labeling it as a unconstitutionally formed.
