Prepare DPR for Pancheshwar Multi-purpose Project

Kathmandu: At the meeting with the concerned ministers and officials at his office at Singh Durbar yesterday, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the talks about the Pancheshwar Project had started off 21 years ago but nothing had happened so far; so prepare the detail project report (DPR) for the Pancheswar Multi-purpose Project in the interest of the nation, the news in “gorkhapatra” of today stated.
During his last week India visit, Prime Minister Deuba had reached an understanding with his Indian counterpart to prepare the DPR for the Pancheswar Project within a month. Accordingly, experts groups of both India and Nepal are meeting for two-day discussion in New Delhi starting on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Nepal has been insisting on having 37 percent share in it while leaving 63 percent to India, the news stated.
