Rights Activist Thrashing His Wife

September 18, 2013: An employee of an international organization called ‘Plan Nepal‘ working on the human rights promotion in the Banke district brutally thrashed his wife, consequently fracturing her spine, according to the news on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.
Rajendra Kunwar of Bageshowri supposed to promote the rights of women and children, brutally attacked his wife Nain Sara Yogi on Sunday night and broke her bones. She is undergoing treatment at the Western Hospital of Nepalgunj.
Yogis said, “This is not the first time that he attacked me but this time he crossed his limit.” Though Yogi was beaten on Sunday night, she received treatment only on Monday afternoon. She was taken to the hospital only after she telephoned her parents and informed them about the severe pain.
During the interrogation, she tried to cover up the crime of her husband but she told the truth after her parents insisted her on telling the truth. The local people said that Yogi had been the victim of domestic violence since a long time.
