Tibetans Staged a Protest Rally

On Friday, March 28, 2008: About 20 Tibetan exiles scaled the walls of the United Nations’ office compound in Kathmandu while more than 100 staged a protest rally at the entrance to the UN Office building. Nepalese Police arrested some 40 Tibetans from among the protesting at the entrance, and dragged them to the waiting police van.

Tibetans have been protesting the Chinese rule in Tibet. Shouting no freedom in Tibet, Tibetan monks have protest the stage-managed visit of foreign journalists to Lhasa, capital of Tibet arranged by the Chinese officials on Wednesday, March 26. Tibetans have a plan to stage a protest rally at the Chinese embassy all over the world’s major capitals on Monday, March 31, 2008.
