Only a few police have been posted to check the hundreds of trucks at the Sunauli: the Indian side of the border checkpoint. The police took even a half hour for checking a single truck. The police have been checking even the Nepalese passenger traveling to India.

The request of the Nepalese administration to the Indian border administration for increasing the number of police for checking has gone unheeded.

A few days ago, Nepalese and Indian ambassadors have meet in Bhairava, and have agreed to conduct inspection without hindering the movement but the checking has been eased only for two days.
