By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

On June 4, 2009, the UCPN-Maoist has called an all-party meeting at its parliamentary office, Singhadarbar, Kathmandu to discuss the encroachment on the Nepalese territory by India in the Dang District and the misbehavior of the Indian Border Security called SSB toward the Nepalese citizens living on the border areas in the Bara and Dang Districts.

The all-party meeting has decided to send a high-level team representing all seventeen parties present in the meeting to inspect the encroachment on the Nepalese territory by India and to see the state of affairs of the Nepalese citizens living on the border areas.  UCPN-Maoist leader Amik Sherchan will head the team. Nepali Congress, Madheshi People’s Rights Forum, Tarai Madhesh Democratic Party and Nepal Sadbhavana Party have not participated in the all-party meeting.

On June 4, 2009, all the sister organizations affiliated to the UCPN-Maoist have staged a rally at the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu to protest the encroachment on the Nepalese territory by India and misbehavior of the SSB toward the Nepalese citizens living on the border areas of the Bara and Dang districts.
