Ministry Of Home Says Nepal is Safe

August 14, 2010: in a statement released on August 13, 2010, the Ministry of Home has said that Nepal is quite safe for anybody to live and travel refuting the "Country Reports on Terrorism" made public by the Office of the Coordinator for Counter terrorism of the US that has stated there is "possibility of movement of international terrorists in Nepal”; "The government of Nepal is committed to controlling any type of terrorist activities and take action against such criminal groups," said the ministry, and it is not a safe haven for international terrorist organizations for conducting operations in the region according to ‘The Rising Nepal’ of August 14, 2010.
