By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

On December 29, 2009, Nepalese Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala and Chinese Minister for Commerce Chen Deming have signed on the memorandum of understanding on economic and technical cooperation between the two countries. Following the memorandum of understanding, the Chinese government will increase its grant amount from 100 to 150 million Yuan that has been given to Nepal every year.

Similarly, Nepalese Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala and Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi have signed on the memorandum of understanding on exchange of youths between the two countries in the presence of the two Prime Minister in Beijing.

Prime Minister Madhav Nepal accompanied by his spouse Gayatri Nepal has attended the banquet hosted by his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao in honor of visiting Nepalese Prime Minister at the Great Hall of the People today.

To please the Chinese hosts, Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has said that Taiwan and Tibet are the integral parts of the People’s Republic of China, and Nepal will not allowed anybody in its soil any activities that go against China. Nobody knows whether Mr. Nepal has rights to deny the self-determination of so many millions of Tibetans and Taiwanese people facing the repression of the dictatorial regime of Mainland China.
