Celebrating Nepal Army Day of 2010

On February 12, 2010, in a message to the Nepal Army given on the occasion of celebration of the Nepal Army Day of 2010, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav has said the Nepal Army (NA) has won the hearts of all people and has been able to safeguard nationality and unity because of its apolitical nature; in addition, the NA has demonstrated its high quality professionalism and effective services in the international arena while serving in different UN peace-keeping missions.

President Dr. Yadav has attended the Army Day at Tundikhel in Kathmandu and watched military drills, band display, fly past and varieties of shows, and accepted a copy of the annual army publication called Sipahi presented by Chief of Army Staff Chhatra Man Singh Gurung.

Prime Minister, Vice-president Paramananda Jha, Chief Justice Anup Raj Sharma, Constituent Assembly Chairman Subash Chandra Nemwang, and Defense Minister Bidhya Bhandari were present at Tundikhel to celebrate the Army Day.
