CPN-UML Leaders In Confusion

Issue 34, August 22, 2010

By KTM Metro Reporter

August 20, 2010: the CPN-UML leaders have been coming to realize that the NC leaders are not to be tamed, and get them agree on the consensus politics. No matter what happens to the country, NC leaders are for grabbing the power. They have been living in the democracy of make-believe. They have been saying to the international community that democracy in Nepal will vanish if they don’t have the power to govern. The CPN-UML leaders are going to prove it holding the country hostage to not electing a new government.

Spokesman for NC Arjun Narsingh KC has already charged the CPN-UML leaders with acting against the Interim Constitution of Nepal of 2007, as the constitution has no provision for the consensus politics the CPN-UML leaders have been calling for. The NC leaders are not for the consensus politics. So, the CPN-UML leaders need to come out of the trap of not voting anyone of the Prime Ministerial candidates until they agree on the consensus politics.

The CPN-UML leaders have a choice of either joining the NC for forming a new government in coalition with the Madheshi political leaders that have already submitted to the wishes of the NC and CPN-UML leaders or to form a new government under Jhalanath Khanal in coalition with the UCPN-Maoist. The hawks in the CPN-UML won’t let Khanal to be a new Prime Minister. So, they can be a tail of the NC government.
