UCPN-Maoist’ s Fourth Round Of Movement

On January 5, 2010, the central committee meeting of the UCPN-Maoist has put forward the following program of the fourth round of movement:

Uncovering the traitors, foreign agents, criminals and corrupt elements from Jan 5-24;
Holding an interaction program in various towns (in Kathmandu on Jan 7, Pokhara on Jan 8, Biratnagar, Janakpur and Dhangadi on Jan 9, Nepalgunj and Butwal on Jan 10) from Jan 7-10;
Maoist leaders visiting various frontier areas and addressing rallies starting on Jan 11;
Burning unequal treaties including the Nepal-India Treat of 1950 on Jan 14;
Holding protest rallies at the government secretariat and at Indian Embassy in Kathmandu on Jan 19;
Holding mass rallies in cooperation with the autonomous federal republics declared by the Maoists in six areas across the country from Jan 19-24.
Shutting down the businesses across the country after Jan 24

The UCPN-Maoist has been in various rounds of the protest movement against the President’s unconstitutional move on directly writing a letter to the army chief overriding the decision of the Prime Minister on firing the army chief on May 3, 2009.
