President Speaks Out At B.P Museum In Sundarijal

Issue 31, July 31, 2011

By KTM Metro Reporter

July 24, 2011: talking to the reporters at the B.P Museum in Sundarijal after going through the museum, President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav Saturday has said that national reconciliation would help resolve the ongoing political deadlock if all political parties follow the path shown by late democratic socialist leader B.P. Koirala. ‘The Rising Nepal’ of July 24, 2011.
The newspaper quotes the president, "The nation was fifty years behind as NC failed to implement BP’s democratic socialism and national reconciliation policies. The nation will develop and prosper only, if all parties implement BP’s policies of democratic socialism, national reconciliation and nationalism."

However, the fact is BP Koirala has never reconciled with the communists. The current NC leaders have been following the same policy causing the political deadlock and obstructing the completion of the peace process and the writing of a new constitution not reconciling with the Maoists.

If Ganesh Man Singh had not reconciled with the then communists and led all political parties against the dictatorial monarchy, Nepal would not have achieved the federal democratic republic. So, President would have been correct if he has said the current political leaders need to follow the policy of Ganesh Man Singh rather than of BP Koirala that had never reconciled with the communists.
