January 13, 2011: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Robert Blake has made telephone calls to Prime Minister Madhav Nepal and Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda separately today and urged them to stick to their commitments to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement even after the UNMIN leaves Nepal on Saturday, January 15, 2011, and has also pledged to continue the support for the peace process, myrepublica.com writes.

"He told both the leaders that the US government’s commitment to support the peace process will continue after UNMIN leaves on January 15 and urged all parties to continue to respect their own commitments under the Comprehensive Peace Agreement," said a statement issued by the US Embassy in Kathmandu.
