Issue 50, December 15, 2013

By KTM Metro Reporter

December 13, 2013: speaking at an event held in Bhaktapur yesterday, one of the leaders of CPN-UML Bhim Rawal said that major political parties should share the offices of President, Vice-president, Prime Minster and Chairman of CA following a consensus on them, according to the news in ‘gorkhapatra’ of today. In other words, the current president and vice-president need to quit the office.

Speaking at an event held in the Rupandehi district yesterday, central committee member of NC Balkrishna Khand said that political parties should not change the current President and Vice-president, according to the news in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

Leaders of NC and CPN-UML are preparing for a head-on collision on electing or not electing the offices of president and vice-president. Thus, power-sharing business has been the important business of the newly majority winning political parties rather than preparing for crafting a new constitution.
