Kamalaris Enforced Shutdown In 22 Districts In Terai For Second Day

June 5, 2013: Kamalaris enforced the shutdown in the 22 districts of terai for the second day today demanding to bring the law enforcement people that had forcibly cracking down on the Kamalaris that have been peacefully rally to justice, and demanding to bring the murder of one of the Kamalaris in Kathmandu two years ago to justice, and demanding the government to keep the promise made to rehabilitate the freed Kamalaris.

 

All the businesses including the vehicular traffic have been shut down in the 22 district of terai today, too due to the shutdown called by Kamalaris. Shutting down others’ businesses and halting the vehicular traffic were illegal and unconstitutional but the current government headed by so-called chief justice Khil Raj Regmi not listening to the valid demands of Kamalaris rather resorting to the brutal repression of the peaceful demonstrators have sent the Kamalaris to resort to the violence shutdown of the businesses of all the people in 22 districts of terai. Chairman Regmi and his home minister are responsible for the violation of the law by Kamalaris. Chairman Regmi and his home minister are accountable to the sufferings of the people in the 22 districts of terai caused by the shutdown enforced by Kamalaris.
