Forest Minister Wakil Transfers State Employees Allegedly For Money

December 20, 2011: the Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA) Monday has instructed the Forest Ministry to revoke the decision made on November 30 on transferring Director General of Department of Forest Annapurna Das to the Department of Botany and bringing in junior joint secretary Bajra Kishore Yadav to the Department of Forest from the Eastern Regional Forest Directorate within seven days, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

The CIAA has said that the decision made on transferring the state employee by the Forest Ministry goes against the general principle enshrined in the Civil Service Act of 2049. "Giving leadership of the Forest Department to junior staff will have a negative effect on entire organization of the department and the transfer of Das to the service group different from his group cannot be taken healthy and appropriate," ‘The Rising Nepal’ quotes the CIAA.

The victims of the decision on transferring the state employees have in their written complaints to the CIAA have said that the Forest Minister has made such a decision on transferring the state employees going against the Civil Service Act for money.
