Sick Prime Ministers

On November 10, 2009, attending doctors rushed former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala to the state-run hospital called Shadid Gangalal Muturog Hospital in Kathmandu. He is supposed to fly off to Singapore for health checkup today but his health has deteriorated warranting rushing him to the hospital. Attending doctors say that the oxygen content in his blood has been low causing him difficult to breathe. However, his condition has improved after giving him oxygen. Mr. Koirala is currently running 86.

Another Prime Minister Madhav Nepal has been sleeping at his official residence with his body temperature as high as 105 Fahrenheit. He could not go to lay the foundation stone for constructing a Kathmandu-Nizgad fast track. He has cancelled his trip to Rome for attending the World Food Summit to be held soon.
