Deputy Prime Minister Off To China

November 23, 2011: Deputy Prime Minister Narayankaji Shrestha ‘Prakasha’ holding the portfolio of foreign affairs with the nine-member team has left Kathmandu yesterday for Lhasa for the six-day visit to China for setting the agenda for the visit of Chinese prime minister to Nepal in December. The deputy prime minister and his team will stay in Lhasa overnight, and then fly on to Beijing on Wednesday.
Speaking to the reporters at the VVIP lounge of the Kathmandu International Airport before leaving for Lhasa yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Narayankaji Shrestha ‘Prakash’ has said that in addition to setting the agenda of the visit of the Chinese Prime Minister to Nepal, he is going to talk to the Chinese authorities about the development of major hydropower projects, north-south highways, railway lines from China to Nepalese borders and in Nepal, too.
