Madhav Incurs Girija’s Wrath

Issue 36, September 6, 2009

By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu

On September 3, 2009, shortening the visit to his home town Biratnager, and even ignoring the cadres’ request for meeting him, former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has returned to Kathmandu.

Koirala has been furious with Prime Minister Madhav Nepal at not consulting him about expanding the cabinet, and appointing ambassadors and the permanent representative to the UN. Koirala also has charged Madhav with giving important to the unimportant political party.

Koirala also has said that the current government has no alternative to the consensus politics and co-working with the leaders of other political parties; the life of the Madhav’s government depends on his style of working.
