During the news conference, Dr. Rijal said, "The UCPN-Maoist has attempted such deadly attacks on NC after it sensed the possibility of nationwide defeat in the CA election." Dr. Rijal urged the UCPN-Maoist to come openly if they were to prefer a war or come peacefully if they were for CA elections.

An unidentified group hurled petrol-bottle bombs at NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel's vehicle. The vehicle [Ba 6 Cha 7555] came under attack at Ruptar, Ramjakot VDC-2 in the south of the district.

The 33-political party alliance led by the CPN-Maoist enforced a transport strike in Parbat, Baglung and Myagdi districts yesterday bringing the vehicular traffic to standstill causing great sufferings to the common folks.
