America And China Willing To Help Nepalis In Elections

September 18, 2013: American and Chinese ambassadors have separately met with chairman of UCPN-Maoist at his Lazimpat residence; they assured the chairman of their help in holding elections in an environment of no intimidation and fear, as elections are the only way of institutionalizing the democracy, according to the news in the state-run newspaper ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.

 

At each meeting with the ambassadors separately held in his residence, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda briefed them on the process for holding the elections, and the efforts made on bringing on board the election-opposing political parties.

 

Chairman Prachanda said that the elections to a new constituent assembly would be held without any doubt; preparations for the elections have been almost completed; political parties have been preparing for nominating their candidates; the government has been working on the security for holding the elections.
