By KTM Metro Reporter in Kathmandu
The government team looking for the historical and official documents has found none of them at the former Narayanhity palace according to “The Himalayan Times” online of June 19, 2008. Official documents such as hand-written manuscripts, books, reports, financial statements, treaties and agreements, newspapers and magazines, letters, deeds, drawings, photos, maps, plans, charts, files and case files were not found. Nepalese and foreign historians had reported on the existence of a Lal Baksa (red box) containing such documents. The Nepalese media also reported on burning such documents at the Narayanhity palace after the implementation of declaration of Nepal a republic on May 28, 2008. Former king Gyanendra denied burning of any document.
