Kanchanpur Private Schools Go On Recess For 10 Days

January 8, 2014: all the private schools in the Kanchanpur district have gone on holidays for the next ten days due to severe cold. All private and boarding schools at the district are closed from today, according to the RSS news on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.
Private and Boarding School Organization of Nepal (PABSON) and National Private and Boarding School Association of Nepal (N-PABSAN) decided to have the winter break after the cold wave reaching the district. The schools will start the session on January 17, said vice president of Kanchanpur PABSON Basanta Raj Pandeya.
Primary-level children have difficulty even coming to schools due to the biting cold, he said. Around 200 private schools in the district are associated with the PABSON and NPABSAN.
All the community schools at the district have been closed since four days ago because of cold. Temperature in the district has gone down for the past five days. Heavy fog and the resulting cold have adversely affected the regular life in the district. Children and the senior people are the most affected ones.
