Botany Scientist Bajracharya No More With Us

November 12, 2013: Senior Scientist Prof. Dr. Dayananda Bajracharya at 68 passed away yesterday while undergoing treatment at the Om Hospital after the complication occurred in his lungs led to the stoppage of blood transmission to his heart and brain. He has been suffering from the respiratory disease for a long time, according to the news on the ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’.
Bajracharya had been the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) for eight years.
He became the professor at the Tribhuvan University at 31, and had been the youngest professor. He wrote books titled ‘Andhyaro ma Ek Kanti Salai’, ‘Baigyanik Goretoma’ and ‘Chetana ko Yatra’.
He did Master's in India and PhD in Germany. He left behind a wife, a son and a daughter.
