Vaidhya Maoists Preparing For Revolution

Issue 37, September 9, 2012

By KTM Metro Reporter

September 5, 2012: speaking at a press conference held today to inform the reporters of the decisions made by the central committee of his party, Chairman of CPN-Maoist Mohan Vaidhya said that his party has prepared a 70-point demand to submit to the prime minister in a few days. The 70-point demand includes the 40-point demand the then disgruntled communists had submitted to then Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to meet but Deuba ignored the demand forcing the communists to go to a war.

Chairman Vaidhya also took the opportunity to bash the leaders of three major political parties such as UCPN-Maoist, NC, and CPN-UML during the press conference, and blamed them for the current political deadlock. He also complained that nobody listened to his proposal for a round-table conference to break the current political deadlock. He still believes that only a round-table conference will resolve the current political problems.

Chairman Vaidhya also warned the ruling and opposition coalitions of launching initially peaceful protests if his party’s 70-point demand is not met, and will be prepared to take up arms if needs arises.
