Second Time Declaration Of Nevah Autonomous State

On December 26, 2009, the Nevah Autonomous State Manka Struggle Committee has declared a Nevah Autonomous state with a large territory extending to the international frontiers to the north and south at the Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu second time. First time, the UCPN-Maoist has declared an autonomous Nevah republic comprising only three districts such as Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.

The committee has made public the state anthem, state flag and state policy on language, culture, education, economy and inclusiveness of other minority people living in the state.

On the occasion, One of the Deputy Chairmen of UCPN-Maoist Narayan Kaji Shrestha ‘Prakash’, Valley In-charge of CPN-UML Rajendra Shrestha, NC Legislator Tirtharam Dangol spoke on the principles of the Nevah state, its constitution, flag and so on. Coordinator Narendra Bhakta Hada also spoke on the need for a Nevah state. Chairman of Federation of Indigenous and Ethnic People Pasang Sherpa also spoke on the need for the autonomous states.
