Increment of Life-Insurance Cover for Poll Officers

On Thursday, April 03, 2008, in his regular press briefing, Election Commission (EC) spokesperson Laxman Bhattarai has told the reporters that the EC has increased the life-insurance cover for the staffs deputed to work for the election from one million rupees to one and a half million rupees. The EC has done so under the pressure put by various organizations according to the report of ‘The Rising Nepal’ of April 04, 2008.
