Mourning Death Of Mandela For Three Days And Flaying Nepalese Flags At Half-mast

December 8, 2013: at the meeting held yesterday, the Interim Election Council of Ministers decided to mourn the death of South African leader Nelson Mandela from December 8, to December 10, and to fly the Nepalese flags at half-mast at the diplomatic missions abroad, and at the State offices in the country, too; and not to hold any State celebration during this period, according to the news in the ‘gorkhapatra’ of today.
The council of ministers also expressed sorrow over the death of former President of South Africa also the anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela: the symbol of peace, justice and courage, and the warrior of independence, equality and democracy.
The council of ministers also wished for the soul of the deceased Nelson Mandela be in the perpetual peace, and offered the deep condolences of the Nepalese government to the government of South Africa, the people, and the bereaved family of Mandela.
The council of ministers also decided to send a delegation headed by the Nepalese Foreign Minister to South Africa to participate in the memorial service to be held in Pretoria on December 10, 2013.
