Kathmandu: Electoral Constituencies Delineation Commission has started off its work on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 even though its members have received the appointment letters on July 23; they spent some days on setting up offices, and having staffers, and on preparing the work procedures, the news in “gorkhapatra” of today stated.

 

The Commission has altogether 21 days to complete the mandate it has receive. The members of commission have to collect views and opinions of different experts and even of the common folks in different places to delineate 165 constituencies out of the current 240 constituencies for the elections to the federal legislature, and for the provincial elections a number of constituencies not exceeding twice the number of constituencies delineated for the federal parliament.
