June 30, 2011: Hearing on the case filed by advocate Pawan Kumar Khadka yesterday, a single bench of Supreme Court Justice Prakash Kumar Wasti has ruled to write the Commission on Investigation into Abuse of Authority (CIAA) asking for the reasons for not implicating former home ministers and former home secretaries in the corruption case of buying low standard armored vehicles and materials not usable for the Nepalese UN Peace Mission in Darfur, Sudan in writing within 15 days according to the news posted on nepalnews.com.

According to the report prepared by the parliamentary team led by CPN-UML lawmaker Pradip Gyawali, three former home ministers such as Krishna Prasad Sitaula of NC, Bamdev Gautam and Bhim Rawal of CPN-UML, and two former home secretaries such as Umesh Mainali and Govind Kusum are directly involved in the corruption case concerning the Nepalese UN Peace Mission in Darfur, Sudan.

After finding the case filed by the CIAA has not implicated the home ministers and home secretaries in the corruption case, lawmaker Pradip Gyawali has publicly said that he is surprised to note that the CIAA has not implicated the former home ministers and home secretaries despite the evidences of their involvement in the case.
