Chinese Embassy In Nepal Celebrates Tibetan Losar

February 12, 2011: In Celebration of the Tibetan Losar Iron Rabbit New Year, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Nepal hosted a Reception on February 10, 2011 in Kathmandu. More than 900 Tibetan compatriots residing in Nepal attended the reception and spent the festival with the Embassy staff together. H.E. Mr. Qiu Guohong, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, extended season's greetings and sincere wishes to all Tibetan compatriots in Nepal.

In the speech, Ambassador Qiu made a detailed introduction of the new developments and achievements of Tibet Autonomous Region(TAR) of P.R. of China in 2010, the post-earthquake reconstruction of Yushu area, and extended thanks to those Tibetan compatriots residing abroad who actively care for and make contribution to the construction and unification of China. Ambassador Qiu also emphasized that the central Government of China has always been adhering to the policy of "all compatriots belong to one big family, and it's never late to be compatriot", and expecting all the Tibetan compatriots to continue supporting the development and stability of TAR, P. R. of China.

The attendees expressed their satisfaction with the colorful culture show performed by the Art Troupe from Aba area of Sichuan province of China by applause and cheering time and again. They highly all said they had felt the warmth from the motherland of China.
