Cultural Monarchy Says Officiating Prime Minister

August 30, 2010: speaking at Madhan-Ashrit Techinical Education Center at Gothatar of Kathmandu, officiating Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has accused on Saturday, August 28, 2010 the UCPN-Maoist of trying to reinstate the monarchy against the sentiments of Nepali people; "It is a dishonor to the achievements of Jana Andolan II to talk about cultural monarchy," officiating Prime Minister Nepal said; he said, "The integration of the Maoist combatants was impossible as long as the Maoists intend to disintegrate the national army," ‘The Rising Nepal’ of August 29, 2010 reports.

UCPN-Maoist has clarified on Sunday, August 29, 2010 that it is not for any kind of monarchy refuting the allegations made by some leaders of other political parties including caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Nepal that the UCPN-Maoist is for a ceremonial or cultural monarchy, nepalnews.com reports.
