September 12, 2011: speaking to the representatives of the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) at the official residence of prime minister at Baluwatar yesterday, Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that he has the last chance of completing the peace process and the constitution writing; so he sought the support of the media persons for his mission to accomplish the twin historic tasks, ‘The Rising Nepal’ of today writes.

Representatives of the FNJ have met with the prime minister demanding the security of reporters and rational enumeration for their jobs otherwise most of the reporters would quit their profession for other safe and lucrative jobs. The prime minister has assured them of their safety and better remuneration for their jobs.

Meanwhile, speaking at Biratnagar on the way to Kathmandu from his private visit to eastern Nepal yesterday, Chairman of UCPN-Maoist Prachanda has said that the peace process and the constitution writing process would pick up a speed toward the completion in a few days. Prachanda has said so evaluating the positive thinking of the leaders of NC and CPN-UML.

Prachanda has disappeared from the radar of the media for some time causing speculation of why Prachanda has disappeared even without the security but with family members and friends. His safety has been the concern for all the people that have good will toward him. They believe that Prachanda needs to keep safe.

Speaking at a blood donation program held by the local committee of his party in Biratnagar yesterday, President of NC Sushil Koirala has said that the peace process has been moving forward in recent days, as leaders of the political parties have been working hard to this end; however, the people need to continue putting pressure on the leaders for completing the peace process and the constitution writing. President Koirala also has added that the anti-democratic forces would come to an end, as did the absolute rulers: Ranas and the Shahs.
