September 15, 2013: probably, the CPN-Maoists think that to shut down other people’s businesses is their fundamental rights, as they see the statement of the representative of the diplomatic mission of the European Countries on not shutting down other people’s businesses, as an interference in the business of the CPN-Maoists.

In a statement released on Friday, the CPN-Maoist objected to the joint statement of the European missions on the banda imposed on Thursday by the CPN-Maoist, as a breach of diplomacy and interference in the Nepal's internal affairs, according to the news posted on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com.’

The representative of the European diplomatic missions in Kathmandu has urged everyone to stop the banda culture, saying bandas are anti-social and preventing Nepal's investment prospective. The Maoist party through the statement tried to justify its strike, saying it was compelled to resort to banda, as it was only peaceful option of protest left, according to the news.

The CPN-Maoist-led 33 party-alliance called a bandh in ten districts such as Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha, Ramechap, Sindhuli, Rasuwa, Chitwan, Dhading, Nuwakot and Makwanpur today. The alliance enforced the banda demanding postponement of the elections to the Constituent Assembly (CA), according to the nepalnews.com.
