By KTM Metro Reporter

May 1, 2013: The Nepal-India Friendship Youth Association of Morang sent a memorandum to Chairman of Interim Election Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi yesterday, demanding not to remove the Birtanagar Office of the Indian Embassy. The Association said that the office should not be removed from the Biratnagrar, as the office has been providing support for different sectors including education, social and business, according to the news posted on ‘gorkhapatraonline.com’ today.

A team of the Association including Chairman of the Association Mohammad Nasarul turned over the memo to the Chief District Officer for sending to Chairman Regmi. Similarly, industrialists, political parties and locals have been demanding that the Biratnagar office of the Indian Embassy should not be removed.

The CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya has been putting pressure on the government for removing the Biratnagar Office of the Indian embassy in Nepal. Leaders of the CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya had recently went to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, and submitted a memo to the embassy demanding to close down the office of the embassy in Biratnagar. CPN-Maoist-Vaidhya leaders take the office of the Indian Embassy as the interference in the internal affairs of the country.
