Supreme Court Ordered to Release Free Tibet Activists

On Monday, July 07, 2008, the Supreme Court of Nepal ordered the Nepalese authorities to release two Nepalis: Nawang Sangmo, Tashi Dolma and a Tibetan refugee: Kelsang Chung arrested on charge of anti-China activity after it found their detention illegal. Delivering the ruling, Justices Min Bahadur Rayamajhi and Top Bahadur Magar said that the arrested people were accused of without specifying the effect of their activities on the peace and security of Nepal according to Kantipuronline.com, Kantipur Report July 08, 2008.  The US and the international community have been putting pressure on the Government of Nepal to immediately release the three ‘Free Tibet’ activists.
