Served Subpoena To Prachanda

September 6, 2013: hearing on the case of the contempt of court filed by advocate Dinesh Tripathi yesterday, a single bench of Justice Gyanendra Bahadur Karki of the Supreme Court of Nepal ruled to serve a subpoena to Chairman of UCPN-Maoist to be present at the court in person or send an attorney with authority to explain why Prachanda should not be indicted for the contempt of court, according to the news in ‘gorkhaaptra’ of today.
Recently, speaking at one of the interactions held in Kathmandu, Chairman Prachanda said, “What is the caste of the court?” Advocate Dinesh Tripathi filed a case against Chairman Prachanda stating the statement had caused the contempt of the court.
