Judicial Council Taking Actions against Four Judges

September 16, 2010: on the charge of corruption, the Judicial Council (JC) has initiated actions against four Justices on the recommendation of an one-man inquiry commission of Justice of Supreme Court of Nepal Tapa Bahadur Magar set up by the JC, nepalnews.com reports. The JC has not disclosed the names of the judges that are subjected to actions. The JC has set up the one-man commission to investigate various complaints lodged against the judges of district and appellate courts in April 2010. The commission has discarded some baseless complaints.
